The Kickstart Scheme is a £2 billion government fund to create hundreds of thousands of high- quality 6 -month job placements for 16-24 year olds who are on universal credit and are at risk of long-term unemployment.
Employers of all sizes can apply for funding, which will cover the costs of 25 hours per week wages for the candidate. Employers also receive up to £1,500 in grant funding per learner. Employers must have PAYE in order to qualify for the scheme. If you don't already have PAYE, this can be set up specifically to qualify for the funding.
